Today Is The Day...

The last day of 2012 that is! Do you have big plans for today?

Ava and I are going to venture out in the rain and get mani/pedis. I'm shooting for this pink and glitter look! A Starbucks is probably very likely to wind up in my hands as well! Plus, she's already asked for a hot chocolate today!

Would love to devour a few of these cupcakes with silver sprinkle dust! They're so elegant, but instead, we will make some sugar cookies and decorate them. Much easier with a 2 1/2 year old!

How fun and sparkly is this pink and gold party hat from Studio DIY?! Love this color combination for New years!

Tonight I'm keeping it low key. I'm going to enjoy the rest of the year with a few girlfriends in my neighborhood and our kiddos. We plan on watching the ball drop in Time Square, stuffing our faces, and having a few beverages. Simple, yet fun!

This is my attempt at a last minute vignette! I used my holiday trees and Target finds! I also used this free printable!

And last but not least...

Are you ready for 2013? Enjoy your last day of 2012!!

Woodland Decor

Earthy materials make this woodland decor rustic, yet sophisticated. I'm such a sucker for deer too!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!

Plaid on The Table?

I've been crazy about plaid this season!! I've purchased plaid shirts from every store imaginable including this one from J Crew during Cyber monday! Now, I'm dying over this table decked out in plaid!

The glitter wrapping paper, mercury vase, felt deer, and crystal add even more elegance and sparkle to the ensemble!
I think I've found my table scape inspiration for next year!

Are you a plaid fan? Would you incorporate the pattern on your table?

My Holiday Mantle

This year our stockings are on display upstairs by the tree instead of on the mantle as in previous years. I wanted a new, fresh look so I spruced things up with a Boxwood wreath. The silver deer is a TJ Maxx find that resembles the Pottery Barn version, but much more reasonable! I also wanted some glitz and glam so I added a few pieces of mercury glass. Plus, one can never go wrong with a few pops of pink!

A Few Holiday Touches {Living Room}

This fabulous gold polka dot paper jumped into my cart at Target. I couldn't just use it for wrapping gifts, so I covered the bottom of my white tray to jazz it up.

I kept things pretty simple in the living room mainly because my 2 1/2 year old is very inquisitive about the holiday decor. She likes to take the ornaments out of the containers and rearrange them along with her Mickey Mouse figurines! Strangely enough, Mickey and Minnie didn't really look that great on the coffee table!

So, how do you decorate for the holidays with little ones in the house?

Next week I'll show you our holiday mantle!

Holiday Dining Room {Part 2}

As promised, here's the rest of my holiday dining room decked out in glitter, ornaments, and trees!

The pink flutes are vintage from my late Grandmother. When I walk by and see them I can't help but think of her!

Since I'm hosting Christmas this year we will get to enjoy this space! Now, I can't promise your plate won't be covered in glitter by the end of dinner!

Holiday Dining Room {Part 1}

This year I put my sweet tree in the dining room to add some color and sparkle. I'm loving the contrast of the white tree against the dark gray/blue walls.

The black and gold Mikasa plates were a Christmas gift last year. I drooled over them forever before receiving them! What's funny is they haven't even been used yet! Maybe I'll actually wash them for dessert on Christmas Day since I'm hosting this year.

Come back tomorrow for part 2 of the dining room to see my holiday tablescape and a festive bar cart!

Holiday Happenings at My Home

Have you been furiously decorating your home for the holidays like I have? Today's the first day that I feel like I'm not suffocated by Christmas decor all over my home. I spent over an hour last night reorganizing and putting away all the storage containers and empty boxes. Needless to say my holiday closet is more stuffed than before I started because I keep purchasing ornaments! I confess that I'm done though!

Here's a few snippets of progress from around my home.

More to come...
