I Have a Thing for White

Do you have a thing for white? Lately, I am loving white walls. They have such a fresh feel. White walls paired with color on the ceilings are fabulous as well! I recently painted our guest room Sea Pearl by BM and transformed the space into a guest room as well as my office. It's really working for me.
I ordered this upholstered bed. It's been sitting in my hallway since last Friday. The hubs was going to put it together on Sunday, then a bug hit me and I was on my death bed. Ok, not really, but that's what it felt like. So, this weekend I can't wait to tear open the box and see the new gray, tufted goodness in person against my fresh white walls. Paired with white bedding, I hope it looks cool and crisp!
In addition to white walls, I'm kind of becoming obsessed with all white lamps. I'm thinking a pair like these would look insane in my home somewhere. The long neck and gold accents are divine!
Here they are in the fabulous new living room of Erin Gates.

Such a comfortable but yet stylish and refined space.

Have you jumped on the white bandwagon yet? Can you stray away from color on your walls to go more neutral?

White Interiors

There's something so crisp and relaxing about white spaces. An all white master bedroom with a bit of color from fresh flowers would be so tranquil. I'm loving the monochromatic look in this bedroom above.  How soft does that rug look?! You do know this could only happen if you don't have little ones running around and putting their grubby paws on everything. Or, you just buy stock in Clorox.

Desk Envy and Guest Post

I'm so excited that Shelli from A La Mode asked me to guest post today for her Tuesday's Turndown. Hop on over to her blog and read all about our Master Bedroom and what makes it a tranquil space for us. While you're there look at her beautifully stylish home. Her blush office is to die for!

If you've taken my home tour you will see that I have an office that already has a desk and a work space. But, when you have desk envy like I do then it's possible to find another space in the home for this beauty.

I've been crushing on the Jett Desk from Z Gallerie, but I do not want to spend $449 on a secondary desk that will be going in our bedroom and will not get as much use as my office does. What makes me so envious of Jett are the clean lines and sleek white lacquer finish. I do not think Jett will be coming home with me though. I just can't justify him to my husband.

I decided to choose an alternative that's only slightly less good looking than Jett. Here lies the Josephine desk from World Market that's only $179.99!

It's actually on sale right now and $20 off the original price. Josephine is smaller than Jett, but still has crisp lines and ample tabletop space to work. Most importantly, it still has "X" shaped legs. She's pretty, practical, and on sale!! I'd say she's quite the bargain at $270 less than Jett! There better be one left for me at the store when I head over there today! Just sayin'!

Dreaming

After a busy last couple of days I want to sleep for a day or so uninterrupted! (fat chance I know) I vision resting my head on a nice fluffy white pillow and curling up under 600+ thread count sheets while the scent of lavender fills the air and I drift off dreaming of new Tory Burch shoes.  I mean a girl can dream, right!

While dreaming we might as well look at serene and relaxing bedrooms. Here's some inspiring ones that are sure to guarantee sweet dreams.

What Do I Want?

I want....

A WHITE KITCHEN WITH CARRERA MARBLE!!

A girl can dream, right? I am so in love with these kitchens and for some reason my wacky sweet husband does not like white cabinets! What is wrong with him? That's alright because I will get them in our next house when he goes out of town and I am left to make decisions without him! Shhh..... Don't tell him that though.

Do you prefer white cabinets or dark like my hubby?
