A 3rd Birthday Bash

Happy Tuesday! Another week of summer is upon us. Before I know it, fall and the cool weather will be here as well as crazy schedules!

As promised, I'm sharing pictures from Ava's 3rd birthday party with you. So, I'm just a tad bit late getting them up! She called it a beach ball party but I say it was more of an "Under the Sea" theme! This was the first year she recognized that it was her birthday and she was a year older. Now, everyday she tells me she's getting bigger! Love her little lingo!

Here's the birthday girl with a few of her favorite men, minus Daddy! That's Poppy (my dad) and Uncle B (my brother)!

The idea of her party all started when I saw a similar cake on Pinterest. Ava loved the sunglasses so I was sold on the theme! A friend of a friend made her cake and it was more than I could've hoped for! It was seriously the best cake I've ever eaten. I put it up there with my wedding cake!

As if cake wasn't enough, we had cupcakes too! Cute toppers are a must!

Snacks outdoors for all the littles running around!

You can't have a beach ball party without sand pails and beach balls for the party guests.

The piƱata was a hit!! No pun intended!

Overall, baby girl had a blast partying it up until she crashed out that evening! It was a day jam packed full of fun, friends, and family! We couldn't have asked for a better time!

A Birthday Weekend

This pretty little thing turned 3 on Saturday! Still can't believe my baby girl is getting so big! Her weekend was full of family, friends, sweets, and presents! We are up to our ears in new toys, but so grateful!

Friday was family night for dinner and opening presents. We never go overboard for our little angel. Ha! The gift theme this year was anything girlie or princess which she got plenty of! She was even thrilled with all the princess bags!

Here's my big 3 year old the day of her party! I finally got her to stop jumping in the bounce house to get a quick picture. Don't you love all her tattoos?!

We were so rushed before the party that we took our family photos afterwards when the birthday girl was worn out and being silly! I love how they show off her personality though! She's always laughing and being silly!

It was a special day and I have so many more pictures of all the fun details from her "Under the Sea" party to share with you later this week so come back!!

HAPPY MONDAY

Party Planning

I can't believe another year has passed and I'm going to have a sassy 3 year old in less than 2 months. With that, comes party planning for her big day. She requested a princess party, so I used my swift convincing skills and now she's excited as ever for her "Under the Sea" party! I just couldn't swing the thought of a full on princess themed party. Plus, I'm sure the boys in the neighborhood will thank me later!

Here's what I'm thinking for her big day!

I'm pretty sure this is the invitation I've settled on.  A photo of my sweet girl is a requirement! How fun to look back in 20 years at all her birthday invitations?

Little miss has already approved a cake similar to this one!

How darling are these mini Mason jar sippers from Anthropologie?!

Not everything has to be sugary and sweet! Love the idea of a healthy treat for the littles in cute striped cups.

What kiddo doesn't love balloons? They can double as decor and leave with the kiddos attached to the party favors!

And speaking of party favors, beach buckets are great for stuffing surprises in side!

Cute printables are a must!

So many cute ideas I've found! Her 3rd birthday is sure to be a blast!

It's Party Time!

Today is my birthday!! Do you love celebrating your special day? Do you believe in birthday weeks like I do? Technically I don't get a whole week because the hubby shares my week. His birthday was the 18th so I'm nice and I share!

I can't believe I'm turning 30, AGAIN! I'm in somewhat of a holding pattern! We are celebrating our birthdays on Friday night with all of our amazing neighborhood friends! They really do rock and we are so grateful and fortunate to have fun neighbors and such a tight group.

Today, I'm spending time with my favorite little tyke! We're headed to the nail salon for pedicures then I'm sure we'll make a trip to Target and maybe even IKEA too. All I know is everything is better with her around! I also plan on picking up some strawberries and chocolate to make dipped berries! Yum yum! Way better than cupcakes or cake!!

2nd Birthday Party Details

I shared Ava's 2nd Birthday Party with you and now I'm sharing some of the details.

I found these art easels at Hobby Lobby for 30% off and knew they would be super cute to hold the food labels that I made on Pic Monkey.

All I did was give them a heavy coat of primer.

Then, I covered them in lime green spray paint. Love this color!!

As you can tell, the #2 also got primed and painted, but in Magenta. This small addition will remind me when I look back at photos that this was Ava's 2nd birthday. And, it was a great photo prop!

I found these buckets in the dollar section at Target and made little notes that say, "Add some sweets to your bucket!" I used my favorite photo editing site again, Pic Monkey. I purchased the round candy tags from Etsy. Everyone filled their bucket with candy as as parting gift.

The birthday banners were made using layers of scrapbook paper. You can't tell from the pictures, but there is a solid layer of card stock on the back with polka dot paper on top. I made the circles with the letters on Pic Monkey. Pink ribbon was used to string the triangles together.
I have to say this took the longest time to make so I will definitely be using them year after year!!

This party was for sure a labor of love, but all that mattered was Ava had a blast which made it all worth it!

How Sweet It Is- 2nd Birthday Party

Ava's 2nd birthday party was a huge success! She had so much fun with her sweet friends and family that came and helped us celebrate. The theme this year was "How Sweet it is...Ava's turning 2" I used polka dots everywhere and, as you can imagine, we had a candy bar full of sugary sweets.
I'll warn you, that you are about to see a TON of pictures! I wanted to capture it all!

I'll be sharing some of my diy projects from the party next week when I return from vacation so come back and see.

Birthday Weekend Recap

Our baby girl turned 2 last Friday and boy was it a fun filled, busy weekend! We went non stop from Friday until Sunday. Saturday we all had a blast celebrating with friends and family at her party. She was all smiles!
This momma is officially worn out now! I've already decided that next year we need to just go to Disney World! Parties are hard work!
Here are some pics of our festivities. I'll be back with party pics on Wednesday after I go through them all. Trust me, there's a lot!

Here's our precious birthday girl!!

Summer Birthday Gifts

Last weekend we had several birthday parties to attend so I thought it would be fun to put together  unique gifts for Ava's friends. Who doesn't love summer and everything that goes along with it?! I do, so off I went to pick up summery items.

Beach towels, beach balls, bubbles, water bottles, and chalk were all stuffed inside sand buckets and wrapped up in clear cellophane bags. The girlies got summery note pads, pens, and stickers.

I created personalized notes on my favorite site Pic Monkey, and attached them with ribbon.

Hopefully Ava's little friends enjoy their goodies this summer! I sure had fun putting them together.
