For our mantle I shopped the house and used what I had in my stock pile of holiday decor. The mirror was sitting on the bathroom floor waiting to be hung. Boy did procrastination pay off here! The stockings look swell don't they?! I intend on hanging them on the banister where Baby A can't yank them down. The last thing I need is to hang them on the mantle and have them pulled down onto her little knoggin'! Did I mention she loves to sit on the fireplace and play with the deer? Yep! At least she kisses the deer and they both still have 2 antlers.

Love your mantel, especially the feather tree and snowman. We have the same issue with the stockings. I used Command hooks on the underside of my mantel and they've worked really well.
