Operation go gray is in full force at my home. A friend introduced me to this soft, cool gray which is actually Collonade Gray from Sherwin Williams. I'm not sure I've ever been more in love with a paint color and trust me when I say I've used a lot of paint in my time!
The plan of attack is to paint every beige space left down stairs with this gray. Here's the list:
Kitchen
Under Stairs
Arch
Breakfast Area
Desk Area
So far, I've made progress and I'm loving every inch. Beige makes me crazy and I need a little less crazy in my life.
And here's the updated hallway outside the laundry room that I still need to show you.
The lighing in the hallway also makes me as crazy as beige does. And, a big thanks to the contractor that didn't center the can light making it even more difficult for me to replace with something glam and gorgeous.
What are your thoughts on the mirror? I drug it down the stairs from the guest room, but still not sure if it stays. I have a really large sunburst style mirror that I might hang there. What do you think I should do?

Gray is such a gorgeous color: that is what we have in our kitchen/dining room!
ReplyDeleteHi Megan -- if you're still stuck on which mirror to use I'd be happy to feature your dilemma on my site, The Waffler (a blog where people who are having style dilemmas get feedback from readers) where I would of course provide a link back to your blog. Best, Molly
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm in love with that color! It looks beautiful. And you did such a great job styling. I like the mirror you have but the starburst would look great I think. Adding a different shape to a rectangle space.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the sunburst style mirror, especially if it's metallic. I love the combo with gray.
ReplyDeleteI love the paint choice and the update to the hallway.

This is such a gorgeous little corner.
ReplyDeleteI am currently moving from yellows to grays in my home. I started with silvery sage and blue-grays. I picked up a mistint from Lowe's that was a gray that looks great on furniture. I like the height of your mirror, but agree with the other comments that a round mirror might give more dimension. I am your newest follower on Linky. Please follow me back!
