Dining Room Design

I think I have finally found a dining room table and chairs that will work in my parent's dining room. The key words being " I think." I tend to change things around a million times before I settle on the final product. My plan starts out in one direction and ends up in a totally different direction.

I do know one thing and that is the paint color. We have settled on Constellation from Benjamin Moore. It's a gorgeous pastel blue. It has just enough color to add a romantic feel.

The table and chairs are from the Maxwell collection at Z Gallerie. Aren't they amazing? This oval shape will work nicer than a rectangular table because of the size of the room. I was afraid that a rectangular table would feel crowded and I could't fit any other furniture in there like a buffet piece. There also needs to be space to walk around the room when they are entertaining.

I chose 4 Maxwell chairs and 2 different end chairs. The end chairs will be cream fabric arm chairs. I love how they make me feel like a queen when I sit in them at the head of the table!

The exciting part is that they are a steal! I found them at Target for only $169.99 They are actually meant to be accent chairs in a living room, but they will work great in the dining room!

Since I love mixing fabrics in a room and adding different textures, 2 pillows found on Etsy will make their home on the end chairs.

It will be so fun to accesorize the room with some of my vintage finds from Canton along with bright yellow printed napkins and the white butler tray that I ordered from West Elm. Now the waiting begins for it all to arrive and for the room to be painted by my fabulous painter, Nate!

  1. Wow, I love the dining chairs and what a steal! From Target? I'll be checking them out. I also love the table. I long for a round dining table. It's on my list.
