My Fall Wardrobe

So, what am I going to be wearing this fall you ask? Well, while I'm still toting around a baby in my belly I'll stick to tights, long sweaters, lots and lots of black, and my GAP skinny maternity jeans. After baby gets here, then I'll be switching it up for sure! 

It's such a liberating feeling to fit back into your pre baby clothes! I can't wait for non stretchy pants and normal waistbands! I picked up some items from my favorite sale, The Nordstrom Anniversary sale that I can't wait to wear when the weather is finally cool!

I'm not big on sweaters with bold prints or animals, but I did pick up this novelty sweater to throw into the solid mix. It can be my Bambi sweater! Wouldn't it be cute paired with these leopard print Ugg flats I picked up? I'd also throw on one of these Michael Kors hinged bracelets. I picked one up in orange and gold.  

This reverse collar blouse is a great essential piece that I can throw on under a cardigan, or jacket. The color is so vibrant and fresh too! It would pair perfectly under a quilted leather bomber jacket as well!

For casual days this Zella hoodie will be comfy and warm! Also, got these Zella move pants. I'm obsessed with this brand which is Nordstrom's activewear brand. The prices are so reasonable! 

My favorite item during fall and winter is a good pair of riding boots. I'm dying to put on these Melissa Frye boots when the season finally changes!

I had a reader request from my sweet and adorable niece to put together a compilation of spring handbags. She specifically said no Tory Burch and the options needed to be affordable since she's an almost starving college student. Ha, she knows me to well with the Tory comment!

I hope this suits her needs and yours as well if you're looking for a fun, new spring bag! My favorite would have to be the Kate Spade Bow clutch. I'm noticing the bow trend everywhere!

Oscar Favorites

 

 

 

Did you watch the Oscars last night like every other person on Facebook and Instagram? I admit that I was really pumped up about them and had the channel changed right at 7:30, but it didn't last. We are no movie buffs in my household and I hadn't seen a single film that was nominated. Honestly, I thought it was quite boring and switched over to my dvr for an episode of Selling New York.

 

I did however switch back for the last 45 minutes or so and my favorite part of the whole show was the last act of Kristin Chenoweth and Seth MacFarlane signing to "Losers" during the closing ceremony. I thought it was pretty hilarious, although I'm sure not all the A-listers would agree with me.

 

Even though the show was less than stellar, the fashion had me amped up to see more. There was a wide variety of looks and colors. Here are my faves from last night.

 

Sandra Bullock was flawless in her lacy black Elie Saab number.

She was a lady in red, but I don't think she could have danced in this poofy skirt. As always Anniston looked classic and beautiful! 

Pink and gold, yes please!!

 

Jennifer Garner I thought looked the best in her raspberry column Gucci gown with the dramatic ruffled train. The 2.5 million in jewels were stunning as well!

 

Amy Adams looked like a princess in her gray Oscar de la Renta creation.

Giuliana Rancic looks healthy and glowing in this Rafael Cennamo gown. She tends to look too skinny and pale, but this number really flatters her tiny frame!

 

This color on Maria Menounos and sleek fit of her Romona Keveza gown are fabulous. Her hair do bothered me though. I feel like she possbily stuck a bump it in her frock. Minus the hair, I loved the simple look.

Outfit Inspiration

Speaking of mint, and gray, I painted my dining room over the weekend. I went with Storm Cloud by Sherwin Williams and I'm totally in love with the color.

 

 

The dark blue/gray shade really brings out the gold in my dining chairs which is such a bonus! They were looking an odd shade of green against the blue paint.

 

I hung the artwok yesterday and put the new mint lamps on the buffett. Trying to decide if the bases stay silver or do I stick with the original plan of changing them to gold. Decisions decisions!  Now, I just need to photograph the space and share the pictures with you next week!

 

Even my hubs admitted that the new color is much better than the previous blue!

Frugal Friday Find

We all love a bargain, so I thought why not spread some of the love around so we can all partake. Then it hit me that a new series called Frugal Friday Find was in order. Try repeating that quickly 10 times! 

Check out my new mint watch! I bet you're thinking it cost a bazillion dollars! Wrong! I scored this lovely for $12.99 at Target yesterday. 

There was so many different colors it came in, but the mint was by far my first choice. And, since mint is so hot this summer I think we all need one!

The Anniversary Sale

So, the sale of all sales officially starts today:

Pre shopping for The Nordstrom Anniversary sale started last Monday so I had the opportunity to shop early. It is a fabulous sale as always and I picked up some great pieces for fall.  Now, head to Nordstrom because the hot stuff will be gone soon!
