Project Royal

Project Royal wrapped a while back and I'm finally ready to show off this gray and purple nursery I had the privilege of working on for a sweet baby girl! Remember, the room started out as a guest bedroom?

And here is baby girl's nursery now! 

The walls were painted SW Light French Gray and Grape Mist on the ceiling. The crib is the Emelia crib from Restoration Hardware and is no longer available. The bedding is also Restoration Hardware. The glider, pillow, and drapes are custom and available through me. 

My client absolutely loves the new space and said it's very calming. She spends a lot of time rocking and feeding her new miracle in there so she needed a peaceful retreat. That glider is so amazingly comfortable too! 

This was such an enjoyable project and my client was fabulous to work with which made my job that much easier!

Project Royal Update

Remember this nursery and bathroom I told you about? Well, it's almost complete and I have a few updates for you. If you follow me on Instagram then you've seen a few of these shots already and can see how adorable the space is looking. I must say that I'm loving the gray and purple hues.  

As you can see there are some missing details! Crib skirt has since been installed and we are just waiting on a few small items to arrive before the final reveal! Stay tuned! 

My Little Loves

I wanted to share a few picture of my little loves on Valentine's Day last week! Grammy bought them coordinating outfits that were oh so adorable! 

My little drool bug is 3 months old now!

Sweet little munchkin! She reminds me so much of Ava as a baby!

Baby Harper {2 Months}

This little munchkin is already 2 months old! 

These days she's:

smiling

trying to lift her head

cooing

sleeping in 5 hour stretches

loves her swing (not her bed or anywhere else) 

dislikes wearing bows (she tries to pull them off)

gripping objects

She is such a bundle of joy and the perfect completion to our family! Her sister just adores her as well! 

Baby Harper

Our sweet baby Harper arrived on November 5, 2013. We are loving every minute with her and adjusting to life with 2 girls now! 

I just love how our newborn pictures turned out!! They captured how excited big sister Ava is to have a little sister now! 

Hopefully I can get back to somewhat of a normal blogging routine soon! Thanks for your patience! If you're a new mom then you know exactly how time consuming newborns are!! 

Today is the Big Day

Today, we become a family of 4!! We are so excited the day has finally arrived to meet our new baby girl! 

"A" is going to be the best big sister!! 

She was totally hamming it up and loving on my belly/baby sister! 

It was such a fun shoot and I'm so elated with all the special moments our awesome photographer captured! 

Next time you see us, there will be 4!! 

My Baby Must Haves

In honor of baby H arriving this week, I've rounded up my must have baby products! All of these items are in my possession and waiting for baby girl! Several of these products I've been using for years since "A" was born and some are new items with excellent reviews!

It's pretty safe to say that I'm quite obsessed with anything Aden and Anais and the scent of Mustela products!

Nursery Tease

The chandelier is hung and the pictures are being edited while baby "H" finishes baking! I'll have the nursery reveal soon! I say soon in case she unexpectedly shows up early! Next week is my goal so stay tuned!! 

Nursery Design

This nursery design was a thrill to put together! It's for a sweet little boy who is getting a brand new nursery in a new custom home! The room is finally starting to come to life with navy walls and wainscoting that is being installed this week. Plus, he has a large picture window which allows so much natural light! 

We can't wait until October to get in there and outfit his "Animals Around the World" nursery!

Baby H's Nursery Design

After finding out we were having another little princess I was a little stumped on what direction to head for the nursery. While cleaning out some files in my office I ran across the most adorable coral and aqua nursery picture that I had printed and saved for a rainy day. Well, it came in handy because I knew instantly that was my inspiration. 

The walls will be Amour Pink and the ceiling will be painted Hopeful. I wanted some color on the walls, but not an overbearing shade of pink! This will be just enough. 

I've made some really good progress on baby girl's room already. The bedding and drapes arrive tomorrow and I hope to have it painted after our next sonogram on the 20th. I just need one more peek between her legs before splashing a ton of paint on the walls! :)  

I'd say by July this room will be complete! I've been really lucky and found almost everything that I needed already! Watch for pictures. They will be coming soon! 

Our Gender Reveal Party

I added a little glitter to the mason jars for extra sparkle! Details on that DIY next week! 

Our friends tallied their votes for boy or girl. I forgot to take a shot at the end of the night because frankly, my feet hurt and little miss came down with a fever! Yep, we went from party mode to sick kid mode! 

The boy tallies definitely surpassed the girl votes though! So many peeps were wrong! 

Ashley and I are looking at a sono pic of baby H with her legs in the air thinking we spotted boy parts! Um, guess we aren't very good sono techs! 

The night was so special and fun! Thanks to all you RHOTK (our special code) that came to help us celebrate! And, a great big thank you to my best friend that drove a long way to help me with the party! 

Now, I better get cracking on baby girls nursery board to share with you! 

It's a.....

As you know, our gender reveal party was on Friday night! You can see hubby's vote was a girl! Here's how the reveal went down! 

"What, there's pink balloons! Is this when I'm supposed to smile?"

I'm clearly still in shock! See, I was about 90% sure it was a boy! Ava and my hubby said it was a girl from the get go! And, they were right along with my nephew in the red shirt! "I told you," he said! 

"What's happening?" 

Hubby instantly collected his $100 from my dad for the bet they had. My dad was sure it would be a boy! He's got $100 less now! Thanks for the nursery money mom and dad! :) 

"Yep, I see the girl parts (3 lines). It's all making sense now!"

Girl Power! 

I'm joining the other girl moms!! 

 I'm so glad we chose to find out the gender of baby R with our friends and family. This awesome group of ladies made it one special evening! 

Even though I was quite shocked by the pink balloons, I'm quite thrilled now to be a girl mom! Ava is pretty stoked to have a sister too! We can't wait for princess "H" to join our family in early November!

A nursery....

 

We're expecting a little one! I'm almost 16 weeks now and we are beyond excited to be expanding our family!

 

Tomorrow is our "big" sono to find out if baby is a he or she! Except, we are sealing the sono pic in an envelope until Friday for our gender reveal party. It will be so fun to find out and celebrate with all of our friends and family around us!

A Belly Popping Affair

Three wonderfully, sweet ladies in my neighborhood are about to become new mommas again and I got the pleasure of helping throw a joint shower for all of them. It was a fun evening of friendship, celebration, and everything baby! 

Celebrating 2 girls and 1 baby boy! 

I printed the name art here for baby Emerson, Tatum, and Grayson. 

Baby Tatum has arrived since the shower a few weeks ago, so now we're just waiting on the other 2 mommas to pop!
