Random Thoughts this Friday

I have a really busy day ahead so here are some random thoughts for this Friday.

Party prep is in full swing. Hence the fact why I have a huge to-do list today. Myself and some other lovely ladies are throwing a sprinkle tomorrow for 3 hot mamas that all have boys now and are all due with baby girls later this summer! They are literally hot mamas in more than one way. I was mega preggo in the summer so I now how they feel! Tomorrow night will be a blast! Of course I'll share pics next week.

While setting up in the dining room I realized some little monkey had been playing in the lemons.

Picked up some new products I spotted in a magazine to try. Olay is my go to drug store brand, so I was excited to see a new product that's going to make all my wrinkles disappear. Ha! It's an age-defying day cream+serum. The eye cream also founds its way into my cart and I tried it last night. Use very sparingly. A lot goes a long way I learned.
And, can't forget the Maybelline Baby Lips. It's seriously so moisturizing and it has an spf to protect my lips from the scorcher above. This morning my lips are still feeling soft. No lie! If Maybelline wants to send me all of them to try I'd be a happy girl!

These neon pink Kate spade gumdrop studs had been on my radar for a long time. I went to Nordstrom one weekend to purchase them, only to find out they didn't carry the pink, so I bought the orange ones. Hubby gave me some money to shop for Mother's day, so I ordered these. Love them! They are just bright enough that they show up even if my hair is down.

This is the cake I'm envisioning for "A's" 2nd birthday extravaganza that's occurring on June 30th. My very talented friend Melissa makes the cakes. She's also making cookies for our Sprinkle this weekend so I'm taking this design to her. They are the best cakes ever! If you live in the Plano/Frisco area I'll give you her info!

So, how about that for randomness!

HAPPY FRIDAY! ANY BIG PLANS?

Kate Spade Fabulousness

My niece and I ventured into the wonderful world of Kate Spade while at North Park last week. A girls day isn't complete without a trip into an uber girly store.

Not only is the store packed full of drool worthy merchandise, but it is all precisely arranged in a fun way to catch the consumers eye. The store is colorful, eclectic, and boasts many design trends such as the gallery wall and black/white stripes on the floor. Here are some shots I managed to sneak on my phone while checking out the goods.

Someone from Kate Spade please call me and let me know what the wall color is. Love it!

Want this gold table. And, maybe everything on it!

This velvet sofa is divine on top of the painted floors.

Hot pink spray paint....

Hey Santa, I'm eyeing this handbag. Just fyi!

Technology Tuesday- iPad cases

Today is Tuesday so I renamed it Technology Tuesday. Just for this week though! In honor of Technology Tuesday I searched for fun iPad cases. If you love your iPad as much as I do, then you need to style it up with a flirty case. It will be protected when you travel, are on the go, and you will look good carrying it! That is the most important part, right? Here are some sassy cases I found.

Hamptons Sea
Mumbai Buff
The 2 cases above are from designer Stephanie Johnson of Venice Beach, Ca. You might have seen her products in Southern Living, People, or Lucky Magazine. She has 27 cosmetic bags, cases, and toiletry bags to choose from in 38 seaside inspired prints. They can also be purchased at Neiman Marcus. The iPad cases are listed for $50.
Animal iPad cases $88 from Neiman Marcus

Abas "Newbury" Croc Embossed Case $138
Lodis "Dakota" iPad Case $108

Rebecca Minkof $165
Kate Spade New York "the journal" case $85

The 4 cases pictured above can be found at Nordstrom. The Kate Spade New York "the journal" case can also be found at Kate Spade stores or here. With so many cute options out there, how will I ever choose just 1?

Designer Bedding For Not So Designer Prices

Can we say, "Hello Kate Spade and welcome to the bedding department?" The world of Kate Spade has expanded even more and gotten even better. How can that be possible? We all love Kate for her stylish handbags, posh sunglasses, shoes, jewelry, iPhone cases, accessories, dinnerware, and now BEDDING! Wohoo!

I was at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday and saw this cheery bedding! It's the Heirloom Roses Comforter. The large scale blooms pop off the crisp white background. The yellow striped shams look amazing paired with the comforter for contrast. Also, you can't tell in the picture, but the comforter is set with the Heirloom Roses green/white sheets. The vibrant green and white lattice pattern is gorgeous! So much so, that I need an excuse to use them in my home! Maybe they will work in Baby A's room? Oh wait, she still sleeps in a crib! Hum.... I covet those sheets!! Must have them!!

Heirloom Roses Sheets
Gardner Street Bedding
This Gardner Street Collection merges feminine beauty and casual elegance. The white leafy foliage flourish on the exquisite green. White and green lattice pattern emerge from the reverse side making this a refreshing collection.
Fairmont Striped Bedding
The Fairmont Collection blends bold black and white stripes to create a elegantly modern and classically timeless look. This look is great for any room.

What makes these bedding collections so attractive is their bold colors, fresh prints, and fair prices. The collections range in price from $149.99 to $179.99. Kate Spade is excluded from all Bed Bath and Beyond coupons, but that's alright because you are getting designer bedding for under $200!

Can you see changing your bedroom and utilizing one of these collections for a fresh new look? If so, which one would you choose?
