Pillowlicious

Remember this post about the pillows I was drooling over on Etsy? Oh yeah, they were on Etsy. I wasn't divulging my sources because I had to make sure I could snatch them up before anyone else did. Well, several of them have arrived on my sofa and I'm in heaven. They are even more vibrant in person than the pics online. Here's a pic that I was crushing on as inspiration.

Here are a couple shots of the pillows that have arrived.

Aren't they so much better than the previous drab pillows? They didn't show up at all. These add color and life to the room. It's a start for now until I add the others I have picked out.

Here are the sources: The floral pillow is a Kravet fabric and I purchased them from Turquoise Tumbleweed.

The other is Shumacher's Imperial Trellis in Citrine and was purchased from Nena Von.

The quality is superb on both of them and I would highly recommend ordering from either of these ladies. Stay tuned to see the living room after all the pillows arrive.

Mild Obsession

Do you think I could attend therapy for my mild pillow obsession? At least it's an inexpensive obsession to have. It could be worse, and I could have a thing for Tory Burch flats! Hum...

I was on Etsy and found so many patterned pillows that I couldn't resist ordering. They are for multiple spaces of course and not all will end up in my home. Some are for clients, but it still felt good purchasing them! I love shopping with other people's money! Have I also mentioned how much I am enthralled with Etsy?!

Waverly Charcoal Gray Lattice Pillow from DIYPillows

Waverly Ellis Mod Turquoise Lattice Pillow from DIYPillows

Pink/white Cadence Lattice Print Pillow from DIYPillows
All of the pillows from DIY Pillows were between $12 and $15 dollars and she's advertising free shipping which is a HUGE added bonus. That alone is incentive to buy from her shop. It easily saved me $10.

Paisley Print Pillow from My Vintage Monkey
This pillow will be used with the turquoise lattice pillow, and the sienna maze pillow. Mixing patterns and textures adds so much life to a room! I can't wait to see them all together on my client's couch. I'll post a pic when they arrive. What are your thoughts on the 3 together?

Pom Poms All Around

The burning question for some people after my party planning post is....How and what do I use these festive tissue paper pom poms for? Here are some solutions.

From Young House Love

Idea #1 Use the pom poms to hang somewhere in or outside of your home to add pizazz and festiveness to any party. They work great at baby showers, birthday parties, engagement parties, etc. They are a great pop of color and easy to hang from any light fixture or the ceiling.

Idea #2 Pom poms make great decor for any nursery or kids room. I like how 3 pom poms are simply hung above the changing area in this room. They draw your eye upwards and make the room feel taller.

Also, if you have a little one, you know they love to grab everything they aren't suppose to. This way, the pom poms replace anything hanging on the wall above the changing area and are out of babies reach. In addition they act as a mobile to distract your little one during changing time which is a game starting at about 6 months!

Another cute use of pom poms in a fresh and vibrant baby girl's nursery. Great placement above the crib as a visual for her!

I hope that gives you inspiration to excitedly log on to your computer and order pom poms for you or a friend. As I posted yesterday, the best place to find these is on Etsy.
