I'm in....

lucite heaven!

Yet again, the UPS man showed up at my door today with a huge box! I love days when I get a visit from that big brown truck that comes rumbling around the corner. Sometimes I feel like a kid waiting on the ice cream truck. I promise you that with my dog like hearing I can detect his truck from the others when he pulls in the neighborhood. What's even funnier is that our UPS driver from our old house 15 miles away transferred routes and is our driver again!! I think it's because he really likes to hear Lily bark at him every time he comes to our door and he was missing it.

So, in the box was a fabulous lucite chair that my mom and I both scored off Amazon. My husband says it looks like a cheap lawn chair, but what does he know anyways?! I say it looks fabulous with it's oval back, curved arms, and straight legs. So, poof on him! What he hasn't quite realized yet is that one of the chairs is ours. I quickly took it up to it's new hiding place before he saw me. He never ventures into my office or reads this blog so I give it several months before he notices my new beauty.

Here she is:

Do you own any lucite pieces? If you were to purchase something lucite what would it be and where would it go?

Looking for Lucite

Do you know what lucite is? No, it's not a precious stone if you were thinking that. The word does have a nice ring to it though! If you love design like I do, then I really hope you know what it is and I also hope that you are craving a piece for somewhere in your home. You just need 1 piece of clear acrylic furniture to shake up any room in any style. It can be found all over the place in all price points. Here are some rooms with lucite pieces. Instead of Where's Waldo, it's look for lucite.
