Target Nails It Again

Have you been to Target in the last few weeks and noticed the new Threshold roll-out? Um, yeah! This new line is really killing it! I'm overly impressed by all the new furniture especially!

I purchased bar stools from Target almost 3 years ago when we moved into our home and they have held up fabulously! The quality really is great! I wish I could say that I needed new ones because these tufted cream ones are stunning!

How gorgeous is this velvet swoop arm chair? Loving this and the black herringbone colorway too!

I'm a total fan of this gray console table. The fretwork detailing gives it a more high end look. It also comes in a coordinating accent table.

This tray table makes a nice accent piece!

Who doesn't love a campaign style piece? This side table has to be my new favorite piece. Someone please by one! I have no place for it! You can't beat the $80 price tag!

Faux snake skin anyone? The gold hardware adds a classy touch!

Would any of these pieces fit your style and work in your home? I'd love to hear if anyone already owns one of them!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! This summer is flying by and I can't believe another holiday is upon us! I hope you are relaxing today and enjoying the time with family or friends.

Since it's the 4th of July, that not only means celebrating America's birthday, but it means there are a ton of great SALES going on right now!

Via

Here are some of the sales I've spotted!

Restoration Hardware has 20% off when you use the code FRIENDS at checkout. Everything RH is gorgeous and the sale really helps cut some of the cost!

RUGS USA has one of their famous 75% off sales happening. Use code IND75.

I'm STILL drooling over this Adileh rug, but my lazy bum needs to measure the dining room and make sure it will fit since it's a foot larger than the last one. Fingers crossed!

Overstock has an additional 10% off their already super low prices. They are a great source for chairs! In fact, check out this French linen arm chair.

Crate and Barrel has an extra 15% off their summer sale items!

Eyeing this bell jar

And how classic is this Pepita Lamp that was originally $369! You can get it for $126 now! Crazy sale!

So, will you be doing any shopping this holiday week and scoring a great deal? What's on your list if so?

4th of July Wreath

Our front porch was in desperate need of some patriotism, so I was not ashamed to reuse the same wreath that I whipped up at the ninth hour last year. I usually wrap the foam core in yarn, but this time my laziness set in and I used ribbon instead so it wouldn't take as long. I have to say that it saved me several hours by doing so and it came out just as great!

We also used simple decor such as flags for our flower beds. You can't go wrong with showing your pride for the USA with an American flag.

To make a similar wreath you will need the following materials:
A foam ring
Yarn or ribbon (I used grosgrain ribbon)
3 or 4 sheets of decorative paper
Hot glue gun
Scissors

  • I started out by wrapping the ribbon around the ring and securing with hot glue.
  • I continued this alternating colors and overlapping a tad bit so it would be tight and smooth.
  • When I finished covering the ring I made paper rosettes using this tutorial.
  • I secured them to the wreath with hot glue as well.
  • Hang your wreath with ribbon.
I'm loving my new ribbon wreath and I  plan on using it for Labor Day, as well as memorial Day.

Have you made a wreath lately or created something fun for summer? It's always neat to see new projects and ideas!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

A Birthday Weekend

This pretty little thing turned 3 on Saturday! Still can't believe my baby girl is getting so big! Her weekend was full of family, friends, sweets, and presents! We are up to our ears in new toys, but so grateful!

Friday was family night for dinner and opening presents. We never go overboard for our little angel. Ha! The gift theme this year was anything girlie or princess which she got plenty of! She was even thrilled with all the princess bags!

Here's my big 3 year old the day of her party! I finally got her to stop jumping in the bounce house to get a quick picture. Don't you love all her tattoos?!

We were so rushed before the party that we took our family photos afterwards when the birthday girl was worn out and being silly! I love how they show off her personality though! She's always laughing and being silly!

It was a special day and I have so many more pictures of all the fun details from her "Under the Sea" party to share with you later this week so come back!!

HAPPY MONDAY

3 Summer Looks

This is what I'd like to be wearing if I weren't growing a human! Yes, cute clothes are hard to come by these days. I think I'll just stick to a swimsuit and cover-up and let someone else look super cute in these outfits!

Look 1: Ponte Peplum Top
Look 2: Edith A Miller Stripe Tank
Look 3: Orange Paisley Short

And while we're at it, J Crew really needs a maternity line! Just sayin'!
