Favorite Things in My Town {Frisco, Tx}

Frisco got her name from the days of the cattle drives in the 1800's. It was a tiny watering hole and whistle stop along the St.Louis-San Francisco Railroad. Settlers came to the area following buffalo herds, and camping near natural springs. After 1849 there were fewer cattle trails and people and businesses started moving towards land with rail access. The name Frisco City was selected by the people in 1904 and later shortened to Frisco.

Frisco offers an abbundance of fun for kids of all ages and families. There's plenty to offer the sports fanatic, or art enthusiest. The city is packed with incredible shopping, restaurants, and day spas. A quick trip around the town and you will notice bronze cattle drives depicting the Shawnee Trail to remind you of Frisco's heritage and history.

Babes
Our favorite fattening eatery in town is Babe's Fried Chicken located in historic downtown.

IKEA
 We are lucky enough to have our own IKEA right up the road. It can be quite dangerous though!

Pizza Hut Park
Dr.Pepper Ballpark

Dr.Pepper ball park is home of the Frisco Rough Riders Minor League Baseball team that is part of the Rangers organization.

 Pizza Hut park is home to FC Dallas professional soccer team. It was the first facility of its kind when it was built in 2005. It not only hosts soccer games, but big name concerts such as Brad Paisley and the yearly Jimmy Buffet extravaganza.

You can see why Frisco has so much to offer and why I love my town!
